Struck in the tradition of the Saint-Gaudens High Relief, each specimen received 5 blows from the striking press. Incredible detail adorns this magnificent specimen. The perfect surfaces are enhanced by beautiful, satiny luster.
The three perfect diamonds, representing the passing of the first two millenniums of humankind and the beginning of the third, complete the obverse design.
The reverse design pronounces the year 2000 in roman numerals, again in the tradition of the Saint-Gaudens High Relief. The logo of the Vatican Treasury beautifully completes this breathtaking medallion.
