The "Norweb" 1893s Morgan Silver Dollar  (1878-1921)

PCGS MS67

FINEST KNOWN

$850,000.00

The year was 1893, U.S. watch retailer Richard Warren Sears joins merchant Alvah C. Roebuck to establish Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Chicago, Illinois.  The Coca Cola trademark is registered.  William Wrigley introduces Juicy Fruit and Spearmint gum to the world.  The Stanley Cup is donated by Lord Stanley.  The first open-heart surgery is performed by U.S. surgeon Daniel Williams and Louis Comfort Tiffany develops Favrile glass, and uses it to make lampshades and jewelry.

Minted at the San Francisco Mint, this incredible coin is the rarest Morgan silver dollar in the world.  With an original mintage (production run) of only 100,000 coins, the 1893s is the holy grail of Morgan silver dollars.  Notorious for flaws of all kinds, this date is very rarely seen in "gem" condition.

Coveted in all states of preservation, this coin absolutely "boggles the mind".  Fully struck in every respect, the coin exhibits detail unknown for this date.

The surfaces are pristine and are complimented by a natural patina (coloration) of gray,  faint yellow and blue.

Pedigreed to the fabulous Norweb collection, this coin has no equal in the market today.

World renown Silver Dollar Expert and Numismatic Author Wayne Miller stated that "The 1893s is the rarest and most expensive regular issue Morgan dollar in any condition, with the lowest mintage."

A true classic rarity.
